A little about Walnut Grove Farm
Walnut Grove Farm is a 60-acre historic farm tucked into the Shenandoah Valley in Front Royal, Virginia, just minutes from Skyline Drive and Shenandoah National Park.
At the heart of the property is our farmhouse, built in 1861 and surrounded by open fields, mature trees, gardens and the kind of quiet that makes you forget how close you are to town.
When we purchased Walnut Grove in 2023, we knew almost immediately that it was a place meant to be shared.
Weddings Here Are Intentionally Smaller
Walnut Grove isn't trying to be a 200-person wedding venue.
We focus on intimate weddings, micro weddings and elopements with 50 guests or fewer because we love what happens when a wedding gets a little smaller. There's more time with the people you invited. More flexibility. Fewer things you feel like you have to do. And a little more room to actually enjoy the reason everyone is there in the first place.
Our couples have access to spaces throughout the property for ceremonies, portraits and celebrations—from the gardens and fields to our outdoor ceremony space with antique church pews. The historic farmhouse provides comfortable spaces for getting ready and, with select packages, a place to stay and make an entire weekend out of it.
A Wedding Venue That Feels Like Yours
One of our favorite things about Walnut Grove is that it doesn't dictate what your wedding has to look like.
Bring the vendors you love. Keep things simple or decorate every table. Have dinner outside. Sneak away for sunset photos. Spend the morning getting ready in the farmhouse instead of rushing from place to place.
We want the farm to feel less like a venue you're renting for a few hours and more like your place for the weekend.
